Chris Crafts is women run small scale entrepreneurship, register under Section 58(1) of the Indian Partnership Act, 1932. The motive of the business is to bring financial stabilities among the unemployed and marginalized women community in Pondicherry – India.
Chris Crafts makes traditional Jhola (Sling) bags, out of Eco-friendly cotton materials. Our product stays with nature and brings friendliness to the environment. Through these bags, we educate and bring awareness in the society.
Our bags are made by willing house wives in the neighboring communities. They are given special training in tailoring and provided employment opportunity to the deserving ones. The work and training space is created in such a way that they can come in their own free time from 9.30 onwards. The remuneration is paid for the pieces count. Therefore, the woman has time for the family and opportunity to earn the possible. This earning gives them power in the family and can meet the basic needs in the day today life.
